Responsibilities

• Work closely with Japan Design Center in Product and new Technology transfer
• Evaluate design quality and make judgement on the suitability of design transfer
• Assist the Senior/Assistant Senior Engineer in coordinating with the various departments to conduct pilot run
• Conduct quality review, inspection data review and various design/development documents in accordance to internal standard requirements
• Provide technical support to QA and supplier on parts-related problems

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical or a related Engineering discipline with at least 2 to 3 years experience in consumer electronic product development
• Able to give technical solution and concept presentation in fluent English
• Knowledge in some of the following technical areas will be an added advantage:
  - DVD system. Good knowledge of servo system, video signal quality, video decoding and compression.
  - DVD Recorder system.
  - SMPS design.
  - EMC countermeasure.
  - Analogue or digital amplifier system.
  - Digital or analogue signal processing.
  - Various safety and type approval standard requirements.
  - Wireless technology.
  - Production process and equipment
  
• Able to travel to Japan or Malaysia plant at short notice
