Responsibilities

• Responsible for the research & development of auto insertion and SMT machines
• Conduct testing & evaluation and provide cost down, technical support & solutions for current production machines improvements
• Coordinate design changes and maintain documentation according to our ISO9000 quality system

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with m inimum 3 years experience in factory automation equipment or machine design
• Ability to understand and generate Engineering drawings (2D) based on 3 rd angle projection
• Ability to design based on Japan Industrial Standards (JIS)
• Specialized in mechanism designs involving Cams, Motors, Cylinders, etc and able to perform design calculations is necessary
• Strong knowledge of heat and surface treatments and selection of materials is a must
• Ability to use drafting software like Micro Cadam Helix (2D), Fujitsu ICAD MX (2D) and CATIA (3D) is an added advantage
